I am for making abortion as rare, safe and psychologically harmless as societally possible, none of which are served by making it illegal. What we need to do is find a way to keep young poor girls from getting pregnant. Forcing people to have babies that they don't want does nothing but feed the cycle of poverty and despair that we have now
Abortion has been legal for about 50 years right? I don’t think anyone knows what the outcome would be if it were more tightly regulated. Maybe things get worse or maybe they get better. The cycle of poverty & despair seems to have been and is continuing to go pretty strong.

The overwhelming white evangelical support for Donald Trump is a puzzle that will occupy historians for generations. How can the religious right, a movement that trumpets its fidelity to “family values,” throw its support to a vulgar, thrice-married casino operator and self-confessed sexual predator?

Because the other option was HRC. The very devil to these same people. It’s not a mystery at all.
Just in case no one remembers. This event led to the eating children’s blood and adrenaline or whatever gland produces it. The evangelicals were going nowhere near her. And yes, probably the Russians misinformation campaigns probably planted the juicy story.

The new Texas anti-abortion law could raise the likelihood of some women being unbelievably cruel enough to throw their unwanted newborns into dumpsters. I think in some states a law tries to prevent such horror from happening by making it legal for a woman to hand over her unwanted newborn to a responsible adult and leave with no questions asked. If Texas doesn't already have such a law, such as this, then why the hell not? It better not be because it would allow the woman to get by with the crime of child abandonment.
