Regional host sites selection announcement – The host sites for the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship will be announced at 8:30 p.m. EDT on Sunday, May 29 via ESPN bottom lines and NCAA Baseball social media sites.

NCAA Division I Baseball Championship selection show – The 64 teams and pairings for the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship will be announced during the selection show that will air at noon EDT, Monday, May 30 on ESPN2.

Now speculation is TCU out and OSU in but nothing for sure until 7:30 pm today. Big 12 Championship game will still be in progress. Some are claiming if OU beats UT then OU and Texas will host and OSU\TCU will be out. But, others are saying Host and Super Host are already determined now since some games will still be in progress when announcement will be made and todays games do not matter.

Hosts sites are required to pay a $50,000 fee is my understanding. I have heard that Host sites selections in the past were wrought with biases and money or buying Host Sites happening.

Sounding like WVU is now first four out due to unexpected teams getting automatic bids.

I seem to remember host sites used to be mostly about money, but it was above the table. You probably had to be decent at least, but it wasn’t as much about merit and it was who could fill their stadium. I might be wrong about that. Maybe another old timer can chime in.

Big 12 Championship game will be in fourth or fifth inning when Host sites are announced. It just seems wrong to announce then and announcement should wait until all games are finished. Texas and OU will know if they are hosting so they may just coast through next five innings resting their starters. Will they give it to OU just for getting to the Championship Game?

Why was the Championship game at 5:00 pm today? If it was scheduled for 1:00 or 2:00 pm game would be over prior to Regional Host and Super announcement.

If there is a Stillwater Region I can only fathom it will have ORU our nemesis and they will win the regional. Maybe on second thought… just send us to Georgia Southern as a 2 seed. There must be some beaches near that site for a mini vacation.

GSU just got beat by Louisiana probably losing their host site. We may get the 16 seed host site now and GSU comes to Stillwater! WVU and DBU may be in first four out now. Probably last upset before announcing Host and Super sites.

ORU beat Omaha 21-2 to punch their ticket. No run rule. Please God no ORU in Stillwater Regional! ORU wins Summit in Tulsa.

WVU doesnt deserve to be in. they went 0-2 in big 12 tourney, choking to OU and kstate.

starting pitching just sucks. this WVU fan is ready to move on to football.

8-1 OU in bottom of 7 At 7:12 so could be almost over when regional host are announced.
With all the technology would they move OU to a regional and bounce OSU, Texas, or TCU out. We will have the best RPI and SOS.

They will have regional seeds and supers announcement in 5 minutes. It should be posted on ESPNU game OU/UT but announcers just said the are expecting UT and OSU to host from B12 so they may be leaking subconsciously some information.

Went alphabetically. I’d prefer they not to that again. Osu and Texas out of the big 12. But when they got to Gainesville I knew Fort Worth wouldn’t be coming up. So kind of gave it away.
