Wish I could find the piece, may have posted it previously, basically saying the Russian definition of NAZI is anyone who stands against Russia and Russian culture. External forces are the only thing Putin has left to rally the people to his side.
Probably not what you’re thinking of. But this guy has been the best information on the conflict from a political and cultural perspective. He has some other threads on the meaning of “Z”.

I haven’t seen the bolder part anywhere else

Putin: If Sweden and Finland expand military infrastructure, Russia would react
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that any expansion of military infrastructure on the territory of Sweden and Finland, should they end up joining the NATO alliance, would require a reaction from Moscow.
He was speaking at a summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) — an alliance of former Soviet states — in Moscow on Monday.
The Russian president said, however, that the inclusion of the two Nordic states into NATO would otherwise not pose any problems for Russia.
Helsinki and Stockholm have both signaled interest in joining the alliance after decades of maintaining neutrality.

What can he do besides park some nukes at their border if he gets pissy enough? He wouldn't have the guts to invade either country if they were a part of NATO since it would be a requirement for basically a world war against them. Even China would likely fight against them if they see it as an opportunity to claim parts of Russia and expand its own empire.

The million dollar question, or I guess it should be "what will he do". Man, if anyone in the world deserved to have a sudden and rapidly fatal bout with COVID.....

This is from the tv appearance of a Russian Defense analyst

Speaking about the broader, global picture, Mr Khodaryonok says: "Don't engage in sabre-rattling with missiles in Finland's direction. It actually looks quite amusing.

"After all, the main deficiency of our military-political position is that, in a way, we are in full geopolitical isolation, and that, however much we would hate to admit this, virtually the entire world is against us.

"It's that situation that we need to get out of."

Nukes are old technology that are an empty threat.

Compared to what we have that is 50 years obsolete, Russia’s nuke are a laughing stock.
