Putin on Victory Day gave a speech and told the Russian People they were fighting Nazi's and now this.

They still actually trying to pursue and push the Nazi angle as justification for their actions.

Wish I could find the piece, may have posted it previously, basically saying the Russian definition of NAZI is anyone who stands against Russia and Russian culture. External forces are the only thing Putin has left to rally the people to his side.

Yes, we worry about the internal threat when there is no external threat to rally the people towards constructive cooperation. I do believe we’ve reached the current political climate in our country due to having no real external geopolitical challengers/threats for the last 30 years.

Hard to disagree here. When there's nothing external to focus and unify against, we turn on each other...

Should have been COVID, but we couldn’t unify against it. We politicized it instead.

Russia has 75% of their total ground forces committed in Ukraine what else can they use to threaten those who choose to stand apart from them.

Good. $40 billion represents a desire to escalate the war. How is NATO going to deliver all that military equipment to make sure it's not wasted by Russian attacks as it travels to the eastern front, especially if true Russia rules the skies in Ukraine? I'd sooner it be wasted in America, but preferably put to good use.
