Yeah dirty sixth has become a problem for everyone here, when I moved here in 02 it was frat boy paradise…tons of bars, closed off the streets and was a little wild but generally safe. As the city has grown it’s become a trouble hotspot, often with out-of-town wannabe gangbangers throwing down. Troublemakers and homeless go where the people, money and resources are.

Rainey, South Congress, and even the area surrounding sixth is a lot better. They’ve also tried to crack down on homeless camping and that crap…so it even depends on *when* you were here.

If you don’t get out much to big cities with good weather, then yeah it can be a shock…but don’t judge a whole city by a few blocks on one big street.

I guess never go to San Diego, Bangalore, Manila, Mexico City, El Salvador or countless other places I’ve been that have it much worse. There’s no easy answer, but I’ve been around the world enough to know that it’s a global issue.

Sorry for off topic, hate to see a whole city shrugged off because of that.

1st- I was there friday, f'ing great game
2nd- my family moved to Austin from b-ville/Tulsa roots in 96 and I've been here since. Did a year at osu Kerr but moved back but I can say this city sucks. I have my great friends here I will never lose but I am aching for a reason to move back to Tulsa or stillwater, have family at both. When moved here and even through my hs years this place was amazing, it still has its moments but holy hell I just want to get out now.
3rd- even in a rout the ump Saturday needs to go to coach pitch, he should be embarrassed. We were against all odds this weekend I couldn't be proud, I love being able to pump my chest at the whorls fans. usually never post unless I'm drunk and irate but that was fun as hell to watch. And I'm drunk

No negative here about Austin or Texas. Just had bad experience on 6th street as my first time on 6th street. We lived in Texas for 20 years.

Agreed. Finishing 6-4 would push our regular season record to 37-17. Looking back at the 2016 run the Pokes went 35-18 to finish the regular season.

I'll take Warren Nolan's predicted finish with 1 exception. Beating (#6 RPI) DBU on the road would be huge. That would make me feel better about a #5 seed.

Southeast Missouri is dangerous--they have a lot of power and this weekend is a huge chance for them to prove themselves in case they don't win their conference tournament. Hope we can continue the momentum created this weekend.

Does Warren Nolan have any idea who is pitching in these matchups? His other info is great, but there's too many variables in college baseball to predict with any kind of accuracy. This is a "just for fun" thing.

I think it's based on the RPI formula, so as it changes, the predictions change.

We just need to match TCUs win total over the last 6 conference games. That will keep us ahead of TCU and hold TTU off while doing it.
