*NEW Do not park or drive on sidewalks, lawns or other green spaces. Grills on trailers are not allowed on lawns, landscapes, green space areas, or sidewalks. This applies to set-up and tear-down as well.

So much for my Tailgate Trailer.
FWIW, I don't think this applies to the tailgating area in the north athletic village. So if you have a Silver Star parking, that may be an option for you.

except I just spent almost $2000 on another set of tickets to get back into the Parking lot I have used for the past 6 years. Now, 3 weeks before the season, they tell me I can no longer use my trailer there. TELL ME IN FEBRUARY, NOT AUGUST.

Thanks for posting. Nothing really affects me since we don't have a trailer. I can imagine there will be several people upset about that rule though.

So the University will take down my tent and other supplies and hold them at the police station until I pick them up....sounds good to me.;)

Yes there are! I can't imagine too many people will be happy.

I still don't understand the stakes part, the sprinkler system will be far too deep for a tent stake to hit.
You have to account for morons. Some of the dumb masses (say it all together and quickly) are likely to use a shapened 2x4. It's like half of the laws and OSHA guidelines out there, they factor in the lowest common denominator, then punish everyone accordingly.

A stake 6-8" in the ground WILL NOT hold a tent down when the December praire wind touches your tailgate area. I've seen it pick up four tents at once....with people hanging on the poles.

This is very true. We had to retire a tent after last season because of one of these prairie winds. It pulled it out of the ground and put it upside down. It was a good tent, it had a good life, and it will be missed.

Exactly where is the manpower to remove tents going to come from when they find a bunch of tents parked all over the place two or three days prior to gameday. Are they seriously going to enforce the policy of not allowing people to setup early? For those of us trying to go by the rules, we're going to be at a huge disadvantage in staking our desired/historical tailgate location as we have in the past. Additionally, who defines under a canopy of trees. If your kinda near a tree, but not quite under it... Well, this is probably a gray area. This pretty much kills tailgating near Morrill Street where all the trees and shade is at.
