This is beyond ridiculous. There's no basis for this based on what has happened with other schools. Now we know why Underwood was so quick to leave town. Feel bad for the team. Punished for the actions of an individual, not even school related. NCAA waited a year just so they could show Cade on TV. Tells us even more about them as an organization.

The last 24 hours have confirmed that college sports are not a meritocracy. They are designed to benefit the rich and powerful and crush everyone else to do it.

The NCAA waited a year because we appealed their decision to make sure Cade could play in the tournament. Everyone at OSU knew this was a possibility and they decided to kick the can down the road because we had Cade.

Now, that doesn't make their denial of our appeal any less stupid.

Bring on the lawsuits against the NCAA. Hope we got some sharp lawyers on staff.

Edit: probably don't even need to be sharp. just point out the differences in penalties applied for this same scandal.
