The GOP has turned into a circus, at least the outspoken members. Are they any sane conservatives left? Do they stay silent like the typical conservatives do?

The search warrant actually involves 4th Amendment rather than the 5th.....which in a very "meta-commentary" manner makes the meme even funnier.

Though I don't think that was intended....maybe.
I think this is in reference to the NY AG investigation into Trump’s business dealings. It’s hard to keep all his criminal activity straight anymore.

Twitter Users Remind Trump What He Previously Said About 5th Amendment yahoonews

Donald Trump’s decision to plead the Fifth Amendment Wednesday in response to the New York attorney general’s questions about his dealings as a real estate mogul sent many Twitter users down memory lane.
That’s because the former president is famous for disparaging people who invoke their constitutional right to self-incrimination.
For instance, there was that time in 2016 when he told an Iowa rally: “The mob takes the Fifth Amendment. If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

The ultimate example of “rules for thee, but not for me” thinking.

It was stupid when he said it. Even more stupid now that it has hoisted him on his own.

When I was in defense work back in the day, I would never allow my clients to do anything but take the fifth…..guilty, innocent, whatever…it is never a good idea for a suspect in anything to talk to law enforcement. Invoke your 5th Amendment rights early and often.

As a prosecutor, suspects speaking under oath or giving sworn statements always makes my job easier.
