This is messed up.
A week ago, if you told me Trump got a bunch of yokels into a frenzy and they tried to burn down the capitol I would have believed it. I don't think Trump understands the consequences of his actions and a bunch of idiots thought they could take down the government and for a few hours were successful. It was a dark stain on our democracy but more luck than skill. I bought into that.
But now it's starting to look like a coordinated attack that was an inside job. And I'd bet folding money Trump was more pawn than planner. We'll never know exactly what happened but wow.
I would have believed. This is because there are a lot of people who pretty strongly believe that the Democrats are going to force socialism, communism and Marxism down upon them along with grabbing their guns, and let China have whatever it wants for starters. There are lots of people who take Alex Jones and his snake oil seriously. He boasted of having $30 million dollars worth of equipment to get his message out. So he sells a lot of that crap. Fortunately, Jones told his listeners not to go protest at the state capitols this weekend. The Deep State and suggestable Q people are largely behind it. If trouble happens, Trump and his supporters will be blamed for it.
I bet China and Russia love how gullible Americans can be, have surely exploited it and will again in the future.
On Wednesday, Alex Jones engaged in a fascinating interview with an old man, Dr. Steve Pieczenik. He talked of a military coup. He insists that Trump will remain president. Biden and his people will be arrested, along with Hunter. So will Pelosi, Schumer, and even Mitt Romney. Supreme Court Justice Roberts who was a CIA operative, is a homosexual and on drugs is also in trouble. Jones became bewildered and skeptical. It annoyed the old man. Pieczenik told Jones he will never appear on his show again, if he's proven wrong. Later, Jones pressed Pieczenik again to make clear how this magic of Biden being forced to step down with Trump remaining was supposed to happen. Once again, Pieczenik said it was all about the arrests. Jones annoyed him again by asking, "I agree, I hope you're right. Can I meet your cat, please?" Pieczenik added that Trump knows what is going to happen and is the genius who put it together. People don't know how brilliant Trump is. Jones never met the cat on camera. Quite frankly to me, it's just another example of how being for Trump can mess up your mind bad.
