It's not about political ideology.... That's where so many are getting this wrong.
It's about two things... Telling young men that they're special and can have whatever they want their entire lives, while supressing every outlet they have to express their masculinity, and then them realizing that life is freaking tough and you're going to get rejected a lot... They don't know how to deal with it, so they latch on to some crackpot saviour mentality and believe that they can become important by going out and killing a lot of people at once.
"Toxic masculinity" is a phrase that needs to go away... And sheltering children from rejection and being told they're not special needs to go away.
