One thing for sure in Stillwater this weekend, is that we are gonna see extra orange around Cowgirls Stadium. The America‘s brightest orange that we all love….and that other shade of orange. The excitement for Cowgirls softball is growing. I mentioned it on other threads how much I like seeing people getting more involved in these threads. Coach G is a really good coach and a great person. It’s a privilege to have him as our coach. The excitement is expanding beyond Cowboy Nation. Some of my OU friends been texting/calling me a lot about the softball program. They love OU but really excited and afraid at the same time to see the direction our softball program. Yes afraid. How one of them puts it,” what Coach G is doing, it’s just a matter of time that OSU will be national champions.” He added, “now is the time to cash in on the excitement.” He meant about getting a new stadium ASAP.

Last week, I thought that 6 seeded teams could be upset. Ended up with 5…I was close. Bama, Missouri and Washington I was correct. FSU and Tenn, I didn’t see it coming. These upsets needs to be a reminder to our young ladies that we need to play our best to advance.

Here is my 8 that I think will make it to WCWS:

Great stuff as always.

They are a little more average offensively than I realized. Maxwell will give them fits, and if we get the Day that faced OU, she'll be good as well.

If you're going to do a breakdown, can u make it thorough?

Their offensive #s kind of surprise me. They put up 2 run rules in the Regionals, so I expected that to be the norm for them. Hopefully Maxwell and Day can keep them off-balance. Cowgirls are going to need to be better with RISP in the Supers.

Agree. Pretty light on the detail. Nothing about average pre-game arrival time to the ballpark, number of players with slide marks, or sticks of gum chewed per game, etc. You know; the important stuff.
Feel free to do so. Not gonna hurt my feelings at all.

ADMIN: erase this thread please so @gundysburner and @orangepatriot can start the softball threads for now on. Thank you

How many SRO tickets are sold before each game? The ticket department needs to make this public info along with tweeting out when they sell out the SRO tickets so fans can prepare and maybe come down to a game at the last minute if they know they can get in.

I don't think they've run out of SRO tickets yet. We got in line Sunday for SRO 40 minutes on before they got on sale, and were about 10 people back. We ended up getting a pretty good spot on the 1st base side where we could see unobstructed. It's quite a process, though.
