Looking forward to seeing how this team responds. The team did compete a tad bit better today, but still made critical errors. Coach moving people up and down the lineup this late in the season is problematic. It also speaks a coach that's somewhat in panic mode. He has a couple decisions to make. One being with Brianna Evans. Her offense has struggled mightily in conference play, but she's becoming a liability defensively. Of course you could play Petty at 2nd, but she doesn't have the range like evans, and her bat has struggled compared to last year. PItching is what it is.....I don't see Elish pitching again, and if she does I don't think she'll be as effective.
I'm hopeful the senior leadership on this team can weather the storm, but you just never know. The last 2 weeks have been brutal and we have a bunch of players that simply lack confidence right now.

On our hitting I went through individual stats just to see how much a difference from last yr to now.
Last yr as a team, we were hitting around .312 on the season. This season dropped to a .291.

Exhibit A for two things: why the new softball stadium is important, and why it's absolutely critical we not be stuck in the Big 12. We have to show that we're committed to helping Kenny get what he needs for this program to be championship good, not just OKC good. And we have to be in position that we can do those things and not have our coaches still moneywhipped away to someplace like A&M anyway.
