Context matters: colin Simpson is currently batting .288 in high A ball at the age of 26. I hope he gets there and he’ll have to hit especially with his below average arm. He doesn’t even play catcher that much as highly touted prospect drew Romo is their main catcher. Simpson mostly starts at DH, but has played some LF and 1st base. Still hope he gets there but he needs to advance to AA to have any kind of a shot

Brian Holiday, freshman JUCO pitcher commits to the good guys. As a freshman, he had a good season:
Went 7-1 in 20 appearances mainly out of the pen with 1 start. 52.2 IP, 74 K, 1.28 ERA gave up 34 H and only 15 BB along with 5 saves

He also pitched in the cape cod league with Chatham, coached by Tom Holliday. They're some perks of having a father of a major D1 program coach in the cape. He also pitched well this summer. Here are his numbers:

13 appearances (all out of the pen) 1-0 record, 23.2 IP 31 K 11 BB 17 H 2.28 ERA and 2 saves. Nice last minute addition to the pitching staff.

So will he be on campus this fall? When I saw this on twitter today I was just assuming he would be coming in next fall.
