It will be interesting, what happens with the middle infield if Morril comes back and Brown having the summer he had and then Riggio coming in. Also if Ulloa comes in he is a SS.
I can't imagine Morrill will be back and fully healthy after having Tommy John that late in the year. Someone else said that Riggio has/could play the outfield. If he could slide into the OF, you get Ulloa at SS and Brown at 2B. Add McLean at 3B, the new transfer at 1B, and Thompson as DH....damn, I like the makeup of that lineup!

Plus, the way Ian Daugherty mashed this summer, he may be the starting catcher. Trenkle had a great summer, and will start in center. Other than Crull getting a shot in the OF, who am I missing? Barring injury, we should really be able to hit!

Ulloa and Riggio up the middle if Ulloa makes it to Stillwater. The competition in the MIF is going to be fierce with the talent Josh is bringing in. Roc can play the outfield, and maybe Ulloa can play some third. Marcus Brown had an excellent last month as a freshman and keep it going this summer. If Marcus hits Josh will find him a spot.

The rumor I've heard is when Morrill is healthy he wants to give pitching a try so I could see him becoming a pitcher full time. You hit the nail on the head. Riggio is a 2nd base/OF candidate. If Alex makes it to campus I could see the the infield as follows:

McLean-3rd
Ulloa- SS
Brown-2nd
Graduate transfer-1st or Lyle Millier-Green
DH- Thompson

Trenkle-CF
JUCO transfer Garrett Martin-RF
LF-Riggio/Crull/Miller-Green

Catcher- JUCO Chase Adkison or Ian Daugherty. I would lean towards Adkison but both will play.

McCusker played three games and hit 3-7 with one HR but hasn’t played the last three-games at Tri Valley Cats. I wonder if he was injured as he seemed to be doing well.

In his first at-bat at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, McCusker hit a three-run homer to left-center in the second inning of a 6-4 victory over the Sussex County Miners. Chris Kwitzer delivered the go-ahead run with a pinch-hit RBI double in the seventh inning, which was followed by a bench-clearing altercation in the eighth inning.
Incaviglia accused Sussex County manager Bobby Jones of stealing signs. Both managers had to be restrained by their players and were ejected.

McCusker signed Tuesday with the ValleyCats, who needed another outfielder after Carson Maxwell was put on the inactive list due to COVID-19 protocols at the Canadian border.

Not surprised, ulloa heading to JUCO. Kid doesn’t want to play 3 years of college ball. JUCO allows him to enter the draft in 2022
