What is Standlee going to do?

Anyone have any info on what it would take to get him back?

Also, how old is Justin Campbell? Is he draft eligible?

This team was going to be gutted anyways

Regardless of transfers,, we were going to lose our catcher(s), 1st baseman, 3rd baseman, right and left fielder and 2 of our original starting pitchers.

Josh can recruit.....Turnover, especially this year, isn't something that is insurmountable for this program
One thing to recruit, another thing to keep kids around, there’s a huge difference between the two. Losing the seniors is always a given, you’re literally stating the obvious...the problem is when the people behind them end up leaving as well. Hopefully it all works out in the end.

I don’t expect standlee back....he’s very likely to be drafted and sign. He’s 22 years old and more than ready to begin his pro career IMO. Campbell won’t be eligible til 2022 along with guys like Osmond. Nolan McLean will be a draft eligible sophomore so if he has a good season, he’ll be gone as well.

Max Hewitt,, Carson McCusker, Cade Cabbiness, Trevor Boone, Colin Simpson etc.....all stuck around.

Who are we losing to transfer that played al lot this year?

Part of being a great recruiter like Josh is, is that kids on roster always know that they are quite possibly going to get recruited over.

I'm sure they were all told that in their exit meetings.

If you're talking about losing young kids that haven't gotten to play a whole lot yet and are disgruntled during this Covid period where guys got an extra year, then good luck to those kids.

If they don't enjoy training and playing at O'Brate Stadium and having access to Robin Ventura and Matt Holliday, then I hope they find somewhere that makes them happy.

If we lose guys like Trevor Martin or Kale Davis or Marcus Brown etc....then we'll have a pretty good idea that there were problems.

If Osmond comes close to reaching his potential then you have two potentially elite starters returning in him and Campbell.

Then you have Davis and Martin, to build your pen around and they both have elite talent.

You have Marcus Brown, Caeden Trenkle, Huey and Nolan Maclean to build our offense around.

That's a lot of potential to build around and add pieces to.

Josh will add a handful of bigtime pieces to add to this group and OSU will be right back to having high expectations.

And he’s not in a terrible organization, either. TB knows how to utilize and develop their pitchers.
Not at all...still don't know why the Astros trading him, but looks like the rays might've won that trade big time....Battenfield is out performing top pitching prospects in the rays organization.

At some point, other teams have to wonder about a guy in their organization if TB wants him.

True....in the end it'll play itself out. He was recently promoted to AA and in his first start he goes 5 IP 0 runs, and 8 K's......The spin rate on his fastball is something hitters are struggling to pick up...throws 95-96 MPH but the spin rate makes it hard to hit

Trevor Martin in the cape cod playing for Tom Holliday. He also struck out jace jung from Texas Tech to end the game. We have several players playing under Chatham including caeden trenkle, Bryce osmond, and Nolan McLean. Also lyle Miller-green from chipola JC, an OSU signee is on the team. We also had two more JUCO signees that were going to play but pulled out b/c they’re protecting themselves as they’re likely to be drafted potentially high round.

Note: Trevor Martin is a draft eligible sophomore so performing at an elite level bodes well for his draft stock.

Looks like he’s staying in the conference…this was the likely destination. I wish him well…unless he plays us.
