Game in Austin n Friday morning weather in the 50 and 90% probability of rain.

If BU wins and OSU wins we move into third place tie with UT and BU and win the tiebreaker, so this could be important for getting into the Alamo Bowl game for OSU.

Confirming what Duke Silver stated:

(Copy/Paste from the official Big 12 website) :

Big 12 Bowl Partners
Once the CFP has filled its bowl slots, Big 12 bowl partners will make selections from the remaining Conference teams. Following is the order of selection. A bowl may pick from any available teams with .500 or better records when it reaches its spot in the selection order. After the placement of those teams, slots will be filled from among the pool of remaining teams.
Allstate Sugar
Valero Alamo
Cheez-It
TaxAct Texas
AutoZone Liberty
Guaranteed Rate
Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl*/SERVPRO First Responder Bowl*

* Game is a “flex pick” for seventh selection after CFP.

There is a chance that if TCU gets to the playoffs with 13-0 record and KSU is ranked in the final 14 they can get a NY6 and then the 3rd place team would go to Alamo Bowl game. OSU, BU, and UT tied for third. OSU would be ranked higher than UT and BU and we would be 8-4 while both UT and BU would be 7-5. Again doubful it happens and it may be more fun to go to Cheez IT in Orlando.

They choose who they choose. It doesn’t matter what they rank. They are choosing Texas. Just freaking stop posting

Assuming K-State beats KU this Saturday, it's going to be TCU and K-State in the conference championship. If TCU beats K-State, TCU is going to playoffs. K-State will be going to the Sugar Bowl. If Baylor beats Texas and OSU beats West Virginia, we do finish 3rd in the conference. The Alamo would have the choice to follow conference standings or pick another team. Would the Alamo take Texas ending in a loss to end the season over OSU with a win and higher in the conference standings? Who knows?

Anyone that wants TCU in CFP just so we have a better bowl this year is nuts.
The recruiting and national perception advantage they’d get would certainly hurt OSU

Future B12 Cincy on upset alert at home 20-17 Tulane.

BU needs to run as Texas can’t stop their run game. Everyone claims Gundy is stoic on the sideline, but Aranda has no emotions looking like a statue on the sidelines.
