In other words, don't throw any lifelines to our 8 remaining drowning schools. I imagine some of the AD's and presidents left are thinking "hey Bob, let ESPN help us out.".
I'm sure he's wanting ESPN to stop trying to influence things through their stories and shows, all while they are trying to play backroom deals.

Why would any B12 team consider that, let alone 3-5? Unless they have definitely been told No by all other power 5s AND they know there are enough schools that DID find a power 5 to land at. (i.e. they are the leftovers).

Makes no financial sense that the AAC would be even close to a threat to poach schools.
Or ESPN is trying to make backroom deals promising stuff they ain't going to deliver.

So, who is Jim Howington? Maybe I’m just ignorant, but how would he know?
He was retweeting some else as well saying TT was close completing negotiations with PAC

This hasn't been mentioned, but if I'm Fox, I want the best of the remaining 8 to go to the B1G or the PAC. A large portion of their college football lineup gets gutted with the OU/UT move to the SEC. Not saying they're pulling any strings, but it's not like ESPN is the only network with incentives to push for.

The account he is retweeting is also a fake account. Both have been debunked by other fan bases that I found in a Google search of each name.

Man. I wonder how OU and UT are feeling right now. This could go VERY south for them. It is almost certainly going to go very south for ESPN. I could easily see congress getting involved in this before too long.
Don't get your hopes up. Big 12, SEC, and ESPN all have high-dollar counsel. The American is the only one who should be nervous after getting into an ordeal they didn't fully understand.

Pretty sure both accounts are fake. Same guy predicted a coaching change at Va Tech and got it massively wrong. I'd love for a PAC move to be announced soon, but I don't trust either of these accounts at all.
I mean...there will be a coaching change at Va Tech once they get tired of 6-6.

I am wondering more and more if TV isn't even where the money is. What if ESPN is really trying to represent all of these "Tier 1" school players (SEC) in the NIL landscape... what's clear is ESPN is clearly colluding with schools to undercut the Big 12 AND potentially bribing other conferences to make their realignment move, all while liquidating its position on the LHN because they believe the real money to be elsewhere. That's a three-pronged strategy unveiled so far.

The more twists and turns this takes, the more I realize I don't really know what's going on but something is.

Informative article written by a lawyer regarding the Big 12 and ESPN. Basically, it appears that OSU is in a very good position, and that a suit would likely be in OSU's favor. I think that ESPN (and possibly OU and Texas) will regret their manipulation and breech of contract.

"The alleged actions and indication in the CD that evidence of actionable behavior has already been gathered give substance to posturing and leverage to the Big 12. "
