Surprised this wasnt posted already. Apparently a guy walked on stage while Zeldin was giving a speech. Was tackled to the ground before he was able to stab him but was extremely close to doing so as seen by the below picture. Oh ya he was immediately released due to NY bail laws.

It feels like this has at least two liberal stereotypes. A reasonable idea for fairness without considering potential side effects (see "ban the box" as another example). On the dark humor side, being bad at using/picking weapons.

I hope he gets punished to the fullest extent of the law. I don't care how you feel about politicians, even a dumb assassination attempt (and trying to take a guy out with a hello kitty Keychain seems pretty dumb) is an assassination attempt and that doesn't stand here.
