My online order ended up being cancelled, so it is going to be awhile before I can get a 5900x. It will probably be April before I get the 6800xt at this rate.
some of the rumors of the 6800XT performance are making me less hopeful for getting one anytime soon. Overclocks to RTX 3090 class raster performance is one. And apparently it is a REALLY good mining card. ugh.

I heard the exact opposite on the mining part. Heard it was below the 3080. Read it on the AMD subreddit

So the big SAM feature when combining a Zen 3 and Big Navi together is no longer only for AMD. Nvidia is going to be using it as well and for both AMD and Intel chips.
Honestly, I am surprised that no one implemented this before. It seems like a pretty easy way to improve performance.
