The Lost Ogle posted the body cam footage. It's kind of long, but it's entertaining. What I'm trying to figure out is why they had all those guns. He had quite the arsenal of rifles and pistols.

Young Mr. Stitt told his parents and the deputy that he had been hunting earlier that day, but this happened on October 31st. Not to mention what do you hunt with AR-15's and pistols? His truck also didn't have a license plate on it. Just my hypothesis, but I think they might have been hunting road signs in rural Logan County if you know what I mean.;)

Those signs are over populating. We must curb their populations.

I don't think Young Mr. Stitt's life should be ruined for making a dumb mistake that plenty of other kids make. I'm am also glad that he is getting deferred prosecution, and I hope he learns his lesson. However, KOCO Channel 5 just aired the most ridiculous piece of "journalism" I think I have ever seen.

Their angle on the story was that Drew was actually treated more harshly because he is the governor's son. If you told me most minor in possession charges aren't fully prosecuted I would probably believe you. However, I would expect that those kids most likely get hauled to county until their parents come get them, and I know that none of them get a personal escort by a state trooper.

They also bought the hunting excuse as the reason for all the guns hook, line, and sinker. I guess no one is smart enough to realize there is nothing to hunt with a rifle on October 31st.

Like so many others, you've confused social commentary with actual news.

Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc, hardly broadcasts actual news, which is roughly 5-10% of time. 90-95%+ is social commentary, which is not actual news. Local news generally broadcasts actual news, but social commentary is included at any given time.

It befuddles me to no end how so many people fail to distinguish social commentary from actual news.

This part is not directly toward the user I quoted, but in general. Why do so many people not realize that mainstream "news" is for-profit? It's a business. People need to do their own research, instead of being mesmorized by mainstream news, as if mainstream news is the anointed propagator of factual news. Stop it. Turn the news off right now. Fox news, CNN, etc, should be flushed down the toilet, exactly where they belong, even local news.

Thanks for the education, but I'm not quite as dumb as you think I am. Where did I say it was news? Did you miss the part where journalism was in quotation marks?

Been a long long time since I’ve seen some lost Ogle. Appreciate the trip down memory lane. Here’s the update.

Btw, totally news. No commentary. Maybe I got that backwards. Maybe not.

In what universe does an American have to justify to anybody why they have any type or amount of guns?
Listen I'm a proud supporter of the Second Amendment, but you can't be serious. If you are serious you need help.

I would say any American who is underage and drunk, while their guns are found in a parking lot at a haunted house and the cops are called should have to explain why they currently have these guns. Guns are not a toy, but you should already know that.

I also went back and read the KOCO story online. There they said Mr. Stitt claimed to have been deer hunting earlier. Oct 31st is black powder season, but Mr. Stitt didn't have any muzzleloaders. He did have a 7mm Mag...
Maybe ODWC should be concerned with that or do you also think any American should be able to hunt what they want, whenever they want, with whatever they want. Maybe fish shockers and dynamite should be legal too, cause 'Merica.

Personally, I still think the hunting excuse was b.s., and therefore he needs to explain why he had all those guns. My guess is that him and his buddies wanted to get drunk and then go take pot shots at road signs, etc. in rural Logan County. Otherwise, why not leave the guns in Stillwater? Obviously there was not enough room in the cab of the truck for all the guns and passengers, which helped contribute to his problem.
