But you said you know all about dementia. It is widely recommended for each of us to recognize the symptoms in ourselves and others to take appropriate action. Because you said you know about dementia you can instruct us all to recognize this important malady.
And you're a supposed doctor? It seems you are confused on the very basics of the profession.

No, I did not say I know “all about” dementia. That is not my speciality nor is it yours. Neither if us should be making that as a diagnosis on limited information as that would be malpractice.

I am not going to teach people to try to make a dementia diagnosis on a message board. If you notice things in someone you care about that make you concerned that they have dementia, I suggest that you take them to their doctor to do an appropriate workup. I do not think that you should try to learn to diagnose it on a message board!

Sooooo stupid question...

If the Taliban now controls all Afghani airports and it's airspace, is pretty much EVERY flight out of this country accompanied by an F-16 escort?

In other words @steross tell us as a laypersons how to do what a doctor wouldn't ever do....diagnose someone for dementia remotely.

Why not? I also just read that SINCE Biden announced the withdrawal, 600 brand spanking new Humvees at $141 million were shipped to Kabul on top of the almost 600 ($135 million) that were delivered between April 2020 and January 2021.

Also just read that Defense Secretary Austin says this (124,000 civilians and 6,000 military personnel) is the largest evacuation in history.

My guess is the 330,000+ that were saved as part of the Dunkirk evacuation would beg to differ.

I was asking the question wondering if we (and our allies) have military aircraft prepped and ready to destroy anything that possibly leaves their airspace. How do we know it's not a "threat"?

I’ll be really interested to see some followups on Markwayne’s actions for the last week. He’s either gonna come off really heroic, or completely full of sh*t grandstanding. I don’t think there’s much in-between.
Personally, I’m leaning toward the latter at the moment.

Does anyone happen to know the kickback value on $141 million worth of Humvess?

I disagree. I'll dust off the crystal ball and say he'll be both depending on which political party and their complicit "news" you click on.

The left behind military equipment reminds me of the old movie Deal of the Century, about arms dealers. Some 3rd world rival tribes came into oil money so one of them bought a F-14 jet fighter. Of course the other tribe then had to have one. Neither knew how to fly them so they had to roll them down the hill into each other.
