The invite list of 92 players is out. Some interesting invites from the expanded B12......
Baylor - 3
Cincy - 6
Houston - 2
Iowa St - 2
OU - 3
Texas - 1

OSU - zero

What does that tell us?

Here is what I find odd:
Georgia - 0
Michigan - 1
Alabama - 0
Cincy - 6
OkState - 0
ND - 0

Ohio St - 1
Ole Miss - 0
Baylor - 3
Oregon - 0

Of the CFP contenders only 2 teams have senior bowlers.

Cincy with 6 has more than the rest of the CFP Top- 10 combined.

I always thought historically the Senior Bowl favored taking the best senior players on teams that weren't going to major bowls (or no bowl at all) and werren't getting as much tv exposure as winning teams, so that kinda makes sense to me. Maybe Cincy's late season success surprised them - or maybe because the campus is relatively close, they plugged some position holes with Cincy players.

So many games are on tv and saved digitally, and with final year seniors worried about injuries, the Senior Bowl may be becoming obsolete.
