We had 3 guys out too, 2 top 10 ranked guys. Our 3rd string was wrestling at 149.

I did not know this. Relevant info the announcers might have divulged.

We purposefully put in Montalvo at 174, assuming since Plott wrestled earlier.

WVU beats no. 17 N . colo. 25-11. the true freshmen are looking better.

Noah Adams destroyed the 197 lb wrestler from n colo. who he beat in big 12 finals last year.

Noah adams is an absolute beast. just too strong for anyone else in that weight class.

You’re so weird, Adams beat Sloan for SDSU in the champ match last year. OSU’s 184lber this year who wrestled up in the big 12 tourney last year tech’d the kid in 3:47, that Adams’ “destroyed”.

it's hard to tell those non big 12 teams apart, except for Air Force. not sure why we didnt get Mizzou, and a few good eastern schools to open up ohio and Pa. more, but it is what it is.

Anyhow, that's 39 straight wins for Adams. I'm sure he's beaten some decent wresters along the way. We shall see when he wrestles your 197 this year.

But main point of my post was, Adams is going to win it all again this year, and WVU is getting better. They are wrestling 3 true freshmen, and they seem to get better with each match. I think WVU has got a good coach, and maybe will break even in big 12 wrestling next year.

Personally, I'm glad to see WVU improving in wrestling. Big 12 needs as many good teams as possible. The Big 10 is so tough, those guys are battled tested around tournament time. Need the same thing in the Big 12, I wish we had Mizzou too, but they kind of burned that bridge when they left.
