#17 Cowboys (10-6, 17-6) will be traveling to Waco, Texas to face the #3 Baylor Bears. Bears caught the Pokes with our hands tied to our back in the first meeting. Cowboys had a valiant effort in the first half (leading at the half), but got gassed in the second. Pokes were short handed with Rondell Walker, Farron Flavors, and more importantly, Cade Cunningham out. Pokes were essentially 80% in strength against Baylor.

So, what's at stake? Winning this evening or Saturday against the #6 Mountaineers will guaranteed us a #6 seeding in the Big 12 Tournament. If we lose both games, we can still be #6, but if OU wins out...we'll be #7.

That's not going to happen, though. A Cowboy win tonight and Saturday will guaranteed the POKES to be the #2 seed of the conference. For reference, we were picked to finish 8th (I believe) in the pre-season discussion. This is extremely doable barring a 95% Pokes team and an extremely gassed Baylor team.

Oh, by the way. Baylor would only play 14 games this season. They are responsible for 4 cancelled games this season including vs #6 WVY, #15 Texas, #16 OU, and TCU.

Coverage will begin on ESPN2 at 6PM. A win tomorrow night will....

Walker had a bad turnover on the fast break but Pokes playing well early. Feels like the OU game. We are at the rim and Baylor is midrange out
