#6 Oregon (91-27,.771)
#7 Notre Dame (97-31, .758)
#8 Wisconsin (93-36, .721)

#10 Oklahoma St (90-39, .698)

Note: Florida State (not listed above) won the 2013 National Champ

Championships By Conference:
6 - SEC
3 - ACC
1 - BG10

You know in a lot of ways, Oklahoma St, Oregon, and Wisconsin are very similar programs. Not the "marque" name in their conferences but yet very consistent winners in recent years. Each still trying to find that "special season" to get a National Championship...

Digging into this Uber-important statistical chart.... (Kidding, but it's summertime)

Most of the prognosticators don't/barely have Wisconsin or LSU in their preseason Top 25. Which is just to say, if we have a good year we could move up to #9 or even #8. Especially because our 8-5 2012 season would roll off of the "last decade" numbers. (LSU was 10-3 in 2012 and Wisconsin was 8-6). Also, Notre Dame's 12-1 season would roll off but since they have a ~7 game lead on us and are expected to be good this year they're likely out of reach.

1 - Pac 12

Wouldn’t had believed if I hadn’t seen it.

Wildest dreams kind of territory.

The "next five" we need to stay in front of are:

11. Texas A&M
12. Florida St.
13. Michigan St.
14. Penn St.
15. Michigan.

Note:
I think they are showing an incorrect loss total for Oregon. I'm calculating a 91-36 (.717) which would drop them to #8 and put them just 1 game ahead of us in the win column. So a good season for the Pokes could see us move past LSU, Oregon and possibly Wisconsin...

We used to celebrate one season in front of some of these programs, but we're talking a decade here. Unreal.

Agree.... When you think of some of the "Name" programs we've been better than the last decade...

* Michigan/Mich St/Penn St/Nebraska
* USC/UCLA
* Auburn/Florida/Tennessee/Texas A&M
* Florida St/Miami
* Texas

It's crazy how good of a program OSU has been the last 10, maybe even 14 years....That's a list of teams who have mostly all won national championships in the fairly recent past. And yet we've been consistently better than them for a decade and a half.

Gundy in his time as our Head Coach has recorded wins over:
Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, Stanford, Washington, Arizona, as well as Oklahoma and Texas.

Yet people still don't really view us in the same way as those other programs. This whole "realignment" process has shown that to be the case.

Its just time we take the "next step" and become consistent Conference Champions and Play-off participants. Oklahoma State, Oregon, and Wisconsin are all kinda in that same place.
