    It absolutely is - players are faster, stronger, bigger, etc, and, thankfully, players have more say in how they're protected nowadays. I'm not exactly what era of players you're referencing that would be tougher, but...you're wrong.

    Most of these kids do receive feedback from the NFL before they decide to stay or leave. There's just a lot more downside to staying another year; he could get injured, could have a down year, could show more tape of him not developing his blocking, etc. Not to mention, there's only so many...
