Well that is disappointing that players can't follow the rules.
It's not so much a rules thing as it is a dumbass thing.
These players were dumbasses with BB guns.
What kind of a**hole thinks it's a funny idea to shoot out someone's car windows?
That's not just dumba** it's criminal stupidity. They committed a felony if it's really over $5,000 for just one car.

Update from Mark Cooper...

Three former Oklahoma State basketball players were charged with nine counts of malicious injury to property stemming from a Jan. 1 incident involving an air rifle.

Charges were filed against Maurice Calloo, Kentrevious Jones and Michael Weathers in Payne County District Court on Wednesday. Two of the counts are felonies, filed as malicious injury to property of over $1,000. The other seven are misdemeanors, filed as malicious injury to property of under $1,000.

Oklahoma State coach Mike Boynton dismissed Calloo, Jones and Weathers from the program on Jan. 16. It’s believed the dismissals were connected to the ongoing investigation of the Jan. 1 incident that results in these charges.

It really needs to be $2000 threshold for a felony. That'll be changed. These players now have learned actions have consequences. They have learned it, prior to now however. Sucks for them. Sucks for us.

Yeah right. Weathers for sure did not learn a damn thing from his first "mistake". Instead he shat on those that gave him a second chance. The others might have learned more had Weathers' consequences been more in line with his transgression.

I thought the original stories said that they caused $5000 in damages
Yeah one of the cars was $5000 in damage so changing to $2000 would still be a felony.
Heard on the radio that there was apparently a cheerleader involved. She is of course now a "former".
