Austin Eckroat is 2 up with 4 holes to play in the round of 64.

OSU had 5 golfers competing but only Eckroat made the match-play. Incoming freshman Brian Stark was in a playoff for a spot in the match-play but he lost on the first hole. Aman Gupta missed the playoff by one stroke. Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and incoming freshman Rayhan Thomas also competed.

You can follow Eckroat here:

Anybody know what has happened to Rayhan Thomas? He is supposedly one of the top ranked amateurs in the world but shot in the 80s both rounds at the Western Am and really struggled at the US Am. Hopefully he wasn’t one of those kids who peaked very early and can’t get it back. Should be an interesting year for Cowboy golf with basically only Eckroat back among the regulars.

Hopefully when Thomas gets to OSU his game will come back around. It will be nice to have Eckroat still around to provide leadership.
