Stupid about AGW!!
Millions of bottles of water meant for victims of Hurricane Maria were never distributed and are still sitting on a runway in Ceiba Puerto Rico. Abdiel Santana who is a member of the Puerto Rico State Police went up in a helicopter yesterday and took photos of the water and distributed on Twitter because he said it made him angry to see them still there. He said the water shipments arrived in October and Nov of last year just after Maria hit the island.

Unnamed Senior FEMA officials said yesterday that if FEMA put the water on the runway and didn't distribute it there would be hell to pay

Earlier today FEMA senior official Marty Bahmonde confirmed to CBS that FEMA had delivered the water. However he said that FEMA does not track specific shipments of bottled water so it is not clear when they were delivered or what happened to them after delivery

World Kitchen which is a global group that helps in natural disasters such as this all over the world said they tried to get access to the water late last year and was denied and were buying and bringing in their own water to distribute as they said they were not allowed access to this

The General Services Administration said they had requested excess water inventory from FEMA through the US GSA Surplus property program in Spring 2018 to get water to 12 cities in Puerto Rico who still had no clean drinking water. The GSA Admin said FEMA responded in May 2018 claiming to have 20,000 pallets of excess water they could have and said FEMA delivered 700 pallets of water to them in May 2018 to distribute to those cities.

The GSA put an immediate halt to the distribution of the 700 pallets as they were overwhelmed with complaints about the smell and taste of the water FEMA had given to them and they asked FEMA and the Dept of Health to test it

The GSA said they expect the 700 pallets of water FEMA sent to them came from this water which had been sitting on a runway for 6-7 months and said until the photos were released yesterday the GSA was unaware the water was there, how it had gotten there and how long it had been there

Sounds like with everything else with that disaster. The local government took control and said they would take care of things and then did nothing, including throwing away all kinds of things from food to blankets.
