Oh this game was also a big reminder, and I think we all know but the broadcasts never seem to mention it... we are a 2 star team! Tylan Wallace is freaking phenomenal

I put my vote into bring back the game thread

TU’s head coach should be fired before he gets on the bus.

OL/CW play might be the worst performance I have ever seen by an OSU team.

Defense was good but the QB and 1 receiver are the only 2 D1 players we played against today.

No pass rush until their OL got tired.

Chuba should have spent more time at the track and weight room than on twitter this offseason, looked sluggish and weak, the line wasn't helping but LD brown had way more explosion and power today
Why should Tulsa coach be fired?

They did have like 10 delay of games, that’s pretty unacceptable

Since I've been saying since middle of last season, Sanders is not a starting QB. He should be relegated to a backup. If Sanders is still the QB going forward, my support for Gundy will be the lowest it's ever been and considerably so.

Grundy's lax recruiting policy needs to end ASAP. He and his assistant coaches should start recruiting as much as possible, you know, like every other coaching staff does. If you want family time, you're in the wrong business.

If Gundy does not change his QB and right the hell now, we're gonna have a losing record. Sanders should not be a starting QB. I simply do not understand how anyone could think otherwise. Sanders does not have the proper decision making speed that is needed, for one example.

Gonna be a long year boys, on top of the already insanely long year that is 2020. Buckle up, it's not gonna be pretty, especially considering TU's defense is god awful. Make no mistake, TU's defense IS awful.
Pains me to say this but I think we have been sold a pre-season load of bs. Cowboy Orange is spot on about Sanders who, evidently, can’t take a hit And still turns the ball over.

Hubbard can be stopped and still doesn’t pass block. Defense looked pretty good but o-line is going to have trouble in conference play. Maybe my expectations were too high but I think lots of folks expected a better showing.

Why shouldn’t you try Sills at Tackle? He’s phenomenal at guard but the returns are limited at thriving at that position. He’s got the requisite height to try it, he seems very laterally mobile, why not try?

Boy you really don't understand OL play at all smfh!!! Sills is a high end, elite guard, doesn't necessarily mean he translates on the edge. He moves well for a guard, doesn't mean he moves well for a tackle...there's a big difference. He's played some tackle before at WVU, but wasn't successful. He's a guard/center prospect, and his height is irrelevant....you can be 6'3-6'4 and be a tackle. I'll say it again, playing tackle is dependent on the quality of the footwork, and the ability to bend. What you have is a mess on the OL and it's DIckey's job to fix it...which is why he gets paid the big bucks. How much this group can improve is the million dollar question. Only time will tell. Losing Bray and Farrell is much more devastating than people realize, or even want to admit.

One star team today. LD Brown looked much better than #30. Same oline, same QB, same play caller. #30 was checked out.

My guess on discord is that it’s there to support fame threads that often bring the OP Tapa server to its knees. I could always tell when something bad happened as the thread would take forever to reload on Tapa. It’s a distributed framework that can scale smoothly with sudden surges in demand.

Good point. I didn't think about it but you will see the forum freeze up on game threads. None of that happened on Discord. It was really smooth the entire game.

Overact much?

This thread is a joke. We got people wanting to bench our starting QB for a guy who completed 4 passes, fire the coach who didn't immediately put in the true freshman who hadn't practiced in 2 weeks, and think that our Heisman candidate running back sucks because he had the first poor performance in forever by only having 90+ yards in a game where for the majority of it he was the only real threat to focus on.

People need to take a deep breath and realize that with all the COVID complications piled on top a new offensive coordinator having to call a game for 3 different quarterbacks in the first game coming out of a strange offseason we still managed to find a way to win by leaning on our defense! It may not have been pretty but I'll take the win given what happened.

Who knows how this year will go but I'm willing to give it more than one game before you convince me that the sky is falling. Then again it is 2020 so who knows.
