Interesting article from the Tulsa World today on Tulsa's reorganization efforts.

Notable tidbits, imo: cutting the number of degree options from 196 to 112. Only 6% of their students are affected by it & those already enrolled will be able to finish their degrees.

Tu spends about $10k more per student than they bring in.

According to the committee, college enrollment will drop 20% over the next decade.

International student enrollment (they pay full price) was 20% 2 years ago, 12% this year, & expected to drop even lower next year.

Clayton Christensen of Harvard Business School has predicted that half of the nation’s 4,000 or so colleges and universities will close or merge in the coming decade.
