This morning in a meeting with lawmakers and Governors from Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Kansas, Texas and other farming states, Trump told his advisers to start looking into rejoining the Trans-Pacific Partnership. A deal he pulled the US out of in his first few weeks in office

25 GOP Senators sent a letter to Trump urging him to rejoin the TPP due to the opportunities it created for Americans

The 11 countries still involved in the TPP might not be so welcoming to the US to come back as they spent months renegotiating the TPP without the US market considered and set up a new agreement late last year.

The Farm state Senators and Governors were asking for the TPP to be reinstated to offer farmers more options of selling their products after Chinese tariffs placed on American pork and threats of new tariffs from China to be placed on Soybeans, sorghum, corn and beef.

The Trump admin said they are also ordering the Agriculture Dept to use the Commodity Credit Corporation to potentially purchase $$ Billions of crops from American farmers hurt by tariffs
