Democrats out doing the difficult job of making it harder to believe sexual assault survivors.
Hearing in Doubt? Christine Ford’s Lawyer Rips Senate Plan to Have Prosecutor Ask Questions: Not ‘Fair and Respectful’

by Joseph A. Wulfsohn | Sep 24th, 2018, 10:00 pm 4577

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford‘s legal team has sent a letter (which can be seen below via NBC’s Frank Thorp) to the Senate Judiciary Committee amid continuous negotiations ahead of Thursday’s scheduled hearing.

In new letter from Dr Ford’s Attorney to the Judiciary Committee, they again object to having outside counsel ask the questions for republicans at Thursday’s hearing, and ask for the name and resume of who that person will be.
This does not appear to be a done deal.
In the letter addressed to Sen. Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Ford’s legal team cites Sen. Majority Leader’s Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) speech on the Senate floor on Monday afternoon as “flatly inconsistent” with Grassley’s promise of a “fair and credible process.”

“In our view, the hiring of an unnamed ‘experienced sex crimes prosecutor’ as Mr. Davis described in his email, is contrary to the Majority’s repeated emphasis on the need for the Senate and this Committee’s members to fulfill their constitutional obligations,” attorney Michael Bromwich wrote. “It is also inconsistent with your stated wish to avoid a ‘circus,’ as well as Dr. Blasey Ford’s repeated requests through counsel that senators conduct the questioning. This is not a criminal trial for which the involvement of an experienced sex crimes prosecutor would be appropriate.”

Ford’s team requested the identity of the sex crimes prosecutors the Committee would invite to the hearing along with their resumes.

The letter also blasts the the White House’s refusal to order an FBI investigation into Ford’s allegation.

“The hearing plan that Mr. Davis described does not appear designed to provide Dr. Blasey Ford with fair and respectful treatment,” Bromwich said.
All questions will be written by Justice Clarence Thomas and read by a seven year-old girl.

Someone needs to inform the Senate Judiciary committee that whatever they do or say will be treated by CNN (etc.) as if it were the worst atrocity in the history of rape culture.

Just set a date and vote. The circus clowns can either get in the car or not.

You know that they're refusing because they don't want it to be experienced people at gathering evidence regarding an actual crime and they don't want it to be women because that would appear sympathetic except for when they turn around and say sorry you look really bad and I think the guy is actually speaking the truth.

And once again why continue to comment on needing an FBI investigation? The guy has already been looked at by the FBI multiple times and on top of that, isn't it past the statute of limitations?

The FBI investigation ruse is to gin up outrage among the ignorant, mind-numbed masses. Textbook.

I feel sorry for the women involved in this. If this did truly happen to them by Kavanaugh or someone else. They are being completely used by the dems as a political tool.
And not to mention absolutely destroying the credibility of an otherwise very worthy victim's movement. This ilk would sell out their own dear mothers if it meant political gain.

If you need to see what the democrats have done before. Clarence Thomas is such an incredible individual.
Democrats have a long shameful despicable history of wrongful attacking well qualified Supreme Court Candidates. The Democratic leadership stunts are prime examples of why the public has such a low regard for Congress.

Absolutely, I remember Democrats absolutely destroying Ronald Reagan's nominee Sandra Day O'Connor for all her rape allegations.

Thanks for reminding us!

Why don't you remind us about how they talked about her numerous sexual aggressions!!

They are trying to find anything and make anything a issue to push this into the elections to drive their base. In hindsight he should have nominated Barrett. I would love to seen them attack a female, especially of her ilk.
