Man, I don't disagree, but I hope cooler heads prevail and that people realize we are all Americana and we enjoy the same freedoms (at least we are suppose to)...that of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Certainly I agree with your sentiment and desire for unity, but we really need to look at the media as a stoker of emotions more than a purvey of truth these days...I'm not saying the white house is any different...both are guilty of dividing the public.
TRUMP.... Instead of condoning her ludicrous actions he threatens her right back. "Be careful what you wish for Max!"

I can see why his base loves him but he is the POTUS. He is just stoking the fires. :runaway:

If this is what you are referring to, how exactly do you read that as a threat?

She's asked for confrontations and harrassment which may be dangerous and bring harm to people. "She may get her wish" isn't a threat but a warning to her that the people she is saying this to may follow through.

Cimarron, I debated even responding to your posts because in my opinion you are one of, if not the biggest troll on this forum.

Not because of your opinions or political views but they the way you post and how you respond to people with other points of views. Most of the time when I halfway agree with your posts, you do post them with little snide comments to make sure that people who have different views are worthless in your view or unamerican.

What is worse, is the fact that I have to see Robert Duvall (who is a great actor and in some of my favorite movies) every time you troll someone. "Sticks in my craw" - Robert Duvall (Open Range)

Now to your post....................

It is a cryptic tweet at best. He is either threatening Max that some will retaliate (as you posted... i will agree) or he threatening that that there will be retaliation from the MAGA movement. Maybe you read is some other way but a threat was made.

Since he started off the tweet with a negative message about low IQ (which I don't disagree with), a reader can assume that the rest of the tweet was meant in a negative tone.

Maxine Water is a dumbass for even suggesting something like she said, doesn't need to be in office for sure.

My point is it was a excellent opportunity for the President to say, "We don't need this sort of rhetoric in any shape of form in America." I was hoping he would, I was disappointed. But this is coming from the same man who said "maybe he should have been roughed up" a campaign rally.

I am still optimistic that he will be presidential one day. Check another "shame on me" box.

And you’re such a saint. It’s a comment I suspect like everyone else has made to people that make such a comment as Waters.

The problem you have is Trump isn’t a politician, and doesn’t weigh every word as a politician would. Perhaps that’s why he’s gotten some things done those more presidential have failed at.

I simply replied to your comment asking a question if the comment I posted by Trump was the comment you were referring to and that I didn't agree, it was a sincere question. You respond with the personal attack above. But I"m the one at fault for that? Your comment suggesting Trump was making a threat, which he wasn't in my opinion, and then follow that with a snide comment about his supporters. But I'm the one making snide remarks?

I wasn't a Trump supporter. Like many I didn't think he was presidential enough. But then he kept winning, he kept fighting and won the office at the White House. I was still skeptical. But if you wade through all the garbage and personal attacks on him he's done things others more "presidential" Presidents told us would take magic. No, it just took someone who wasn't going to play the game in Washington the old way. Keep doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results some call stupid..... As long as good things for this country continue to happen under his watch I'll support him. If not, I'll vote for someone else next time around.

So snide..... As rush has said, this is what push back looks like. They're just not used to it....

As for cool, don't you need cool to lose it?

The hatred is coming from both sides. How many people on this board have used slurs, negative names or worse to people who disagree or question their beliefs? I have.

I am appalled by the rhetoric coming from both sides but it has been boiling and is now boiling over.

Unfortunately, we don't have any leadership that can calm our fractured nation now.

History has shown we only heal after a event of great suffering. I want to be wrong but something big and bad is coming.
Ah yes the old moral equivalency that you hope everyone will gloss over ("both sides!"). Well, here's some reality for you, bucko...the left's level of discourse is FAR more violent than the right can even begin to muster...starting with their leadership, their minions of advocacy and activism in the Hollywood cesspool (Fonda advocating ripping the president's child out of his mother's arms and feeding him to a cage of pedophiles; unhinged profanity laced rants on TV talk and awards shows, etc...), the congressional baseball field shooting, and most like the Mandalay Bay massacre shooter (the detail of which they are keeping closely guarded). Don't even go there with your equivalency assertion.

This is all the left leaning media's fault.
It goes all the way back to Hillary having a 90 something whatever % chance of winning.
Then the election night collective stunning of all media folks.

For them to be so wrong they convinced themselves something was wrong about the Trump Presidency.
That fed the liberal base.
Russia, Russia, Russia. Every little piece of trivial information was going to 'take down the Presidency'
He's racist! Charlottlesville! Outrage!!
Stormy Daniels! Her lawyer has something on Trump. The Presidency is days away from being over!
This Mueller witness is going to turn on Trump
That Mueller witness is the key to everything. He's taking down the President any day now!
Trump is literally Hitler, he's putting children in concentration camps on the border!!!

They keep dropping red meat over the side of the boat for the liberals and then nothing happens. Rinse. Repeat.

Its driven liberals insane that their hopes keep going up to crash down to reality over and over.

He was “appalled by the rhetoric coming” from both sides and then a few comments later mischaractizes what Trump said and attacks Trumps base....so much for being concerned about rhetoric.

If the Dems lose in the mid-terms, things will continue to escalate until the verbal confrontations turn physical. You can't agitate and incite a mob this much for this long and expect anything else.....in other words the radical left knows exactly what they are doing.
The American civil war has already begun and once the left finds out trump wins the 2nd term .... it will escalate into violence. Unfortunately, they will lose that battle as well. Eventually, the left will alienate not only the right but all of those rational people sitting on the fence. The Democratic Party will hopefully cease to exist.

Trump isn't using the same old playbook that everyone in Washington has been using for years. It's like when Mike Leach, as an outsider, showed up on the college football scene with his spread offense. It caught everyone off guard and gave him a distinct advantage. It took defenses a while to catch up.
Right now, the defense (democrats) are still using defensive schemes from the old playbook and trump is throwing the ball to 5 open receivers and scoring at will.

Or it could be as simple as trump is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers.

The rhetoric all around is stunning really..it has led to openly Nazi supporters, pedophile proponents and flat out Socialist running in and in cases winning primaries in the last few weeks

The rhetoric of both parties preying on the deepest fears created an atmosphere for this to happen in the US

True Leadership hasn't graced either party in decades
