We have a lot of rested arms .. a good thing. I'll leave it to Walton to consider match ups for tomorrow. A lot goes into pitching decisions other than the obvious.
That may be true with middle inning and setup guys, but a closer is a closer regardless of “matchups” at every level and you dont burn them up in a 10-0 blowout and a game tomorrow.
That “non competitive” team is ranked in the top 25 in most polls and played some really good baseball early in the year. Everybody deals with ups and downs in a long baseball season.

Uh, I doubt he burned Leeper. Clearly Rob thought he needed work. Whether it was just to tune his arm, or try to work out some of his wildness of late. I’m sure Rob’s plan for the weekend wasn’t to burn Leeper in a 10-0 game.
