Don't have time now, maybe at some point in the future.

But I'm curious how the descrepancy in FT's based on home/away.

OSU lost by 10 points and the descrepancy in FTs was 11 points, advantage OU.

14/21 for OSU
25/36 for OU

It's been my observation that there is a distinct advantage in most Big 12 games for the home team.

It’s way too early on Coach B but the problem I have with this team is that they just don’t play that hard a lot of the time. We don’t make many hustle plays (other than Cam taking charges).

Last year’s group played their butts off, they weren’t much more talented, just smarter and played harder.

Of course Mike encourages them to play hard, but it does seem like he tolerates lazy play some.

It’s been like that for awhile. The free throw discrepancy in college for the home team and blue bloods is ridiculous. It makes college games hard to watch.

Yall need to chill tf out. We have 1 senior that's not playing 3 juniors in which dizzy is only good vs low competition. 1 sophomore and the rest are freshman who were not recruited highly out of high school. The ceiling of these players have been hit this season. They play tough on defense when the refs dont call every foul. The shots arent falling and they arent moving, when talent and growth comes this is our coach.

Do we think the next guy Mike Holder pays hundreds of thousands of dollars to find him a basketball coach will look beyond campus? Or outside of his personal circle of friends?

I mean, don't get me wrong...the jury is still out. Maybe Mike Holder paying a guy hundreds of thousands of dollars to point at a guy already on campus with zero head coaching experience WASN'T a profoundly apathetic and comically bad move...

Maybe finishing in the bottom of the league for multiple seasons is just what the program needed to launch a Kansas-like dynasty...

As an OSU alum and lifelong fan, I'll keep crossing my fingers.

How we are playing is not a surprise. Boynton seems to do a great job with the athletes he has. His recruiting seems to be good and on track to bring in some talent. Freshman class looks to be fairly solid, ranked #24 in the nation. Next season could see us up in the middle of the pack and better the year after that.

Looks like we got 8 votes to finish last and 1 vote to finish 9th!!!!!!

Anyone that has been following the basketball program closely should know this already. This was/is a rebuilding year. I think all the new and young players just need to play and take their licks. Their isn’t a super star on this team and it’s shows. These close games are hard to finish without Kendall Smith he was a big difference maker.

We're probably going to be on the wrong side of this statistic most of the year, because we don't attack the basket off the dribble very often. Iowa State shot 11 more free throws than us in GIA.

I think it would help our offense a lot if Weathers would step up. He's the best player we have at breaking down a defense off the dribble. But he's way too loose with the ball. He leads our team in turnovers.

We don't have the combiation of talent and maturity to compete any better in these games than we are.

I've seen him miss a lot of layups this year when driving to the basket, they are contested but he is doing something wrong (rather than say the usual make the shot), but is it not creating enough contact with the other guy? Is it not moving around enough without the ball to get a pass while moving to the basket?

There is one thing I noticed recently. It's the slow decision making of our players. They catch it and if they make that quick move they get a basket and 1 possibly or just the basket easily. But they hesitate when they catch it, especially down low.

Sometimes a very young team is better off running and gunning if the goal is simply to win now. I think Boynton is trying to instill discipline now and take our lumps for the future. I think that is what is leading us to be a little more indecicive now.

Exactly. Play these freshmen every minute you can so they'll be battle tested later on for when the talent comes in next year. I'd sure like to see K. JOnes playing, not sure if there is an issue of some sort there. I know Yor is playing well, but this team isn't going to do much this year, so use it to get the freshmen ready.
