If the roles were reversed, this would be considered a hate crime and the cracker would be in deep shit with the law. Unfortunately, in our country, we are not all created equal.

Yeah, I jumped to a conclusion. So what? It seems to work for the socialists.

"The incident happened during Edmond Santa Fe High School's Double Wolf Dare Week, when students can dress up and go to assemblies as part of a fundraising effort.
An assault and battery summons has been issued for the student in the vest. KOCO 5 has chosen to not release his name because he has not been charged with a crime.
The family of the student in the Trump gear has five days to meet with the city attorney if they want to move forward with the assault complaint, police said.
Edmond Public Schools officials released a statement, in part, saying, "The school district honors students' First Amendment rights but must, at the same time, be vigilant in teaching and supporting students as they learn how best to respectfully express their opinions."
The student in the vest told KOCO 5 he plans to issue an apology. The family of the student in the Trump gear said they stand behind their son and plan to pursue criminal assault charges."

What exactly are they saying here? Sounds almost like they want to blame the kid wearing the hat because the hat is "not respectful". Hopefully I'm misinterpreting this, but if not, what a crock of crap.

You’re not misinterpreting it. That statement is indicating that the Trump kid was asking for it. Kinda like if the scantily clad woman gets raped she shares in the blame for dressing provocatively.

Let’s not do what the MSM does and jump to conclusions. The facts will come out on this in short order I’m sure.
I saw enough. What I saw was a kid getting assaulted for expressing a political opinion. Actions that anyone in this country, of any race, or political perspective should oppose.

I oppose like your said.

However, at this point there has been so many instances of this if you wear MAGA you should expect some negative blowback and you may be inviting it. I don't wear 'deemed' offensive clothing out because I am not looking for confrontation and just want to live my life. Since 51% of the country didn't vote for Trump, there is about a 51% you are going to offend someone.

Trump has said so much offensive stuff, that a MAGA hat has become a symbol with something awful that he has said. It represents so much GOOD and so much HATE for so many people.

I wouldn't wear a MAGA hat for the same reason I wouldn't wear a shirt that say "OU Fans Suck D!ck" on a Saturday in Norman. I have every right to wear that shirt and prance around it... but my sensible side say "maybe this isn't such a good idea."

I would say punish the black kid and use it a teaching example for the rest of the school. Also a good example for using your good brain when getting dressed in the morning.

If the kid had come in full KKK robe, technically he could express his First Amendment Rights and Political Views.

Trump has said some questionable stuff. That MAGA hat is a symbol of that questionable stuff. It can be seen as disrespectful to majority of the American and World's populations.

Doesn't excuse the other guy and he should be punished.

So assume you feel the same way if someone wore a Obama hat? Or a hat supporting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

This is called "whataboutism"... it is what 3 year-olds do...

Its good to assess things by themselves without comparing them to others as two things are rarely or never exactly the same.

Don't read into this thinking, "oh i got you liberal... i win". What I meant by this response is "grow-up".

I hate OSU shirts. Obnoxious hunter safety orange. Especially the assholes walking around on the weekend wearing them. You know they are going to just yell and scream at somebody. The next person I see in one I might beat completely to death. It is totally up to me in the moment. They have it coming and it will be their fault too because that orange color is just so obnoxious and they are just wearing it to be dicks to the people that don’t like the color. I have no reason to not kill them because it is their fault for provoking me and my feelings.

Or you could call it “exact aboutism”. You gave the reasoning that you believe MAGA hats are somehow threatening because Trump has said some questionable things. Fair enough.

But absolutely so has Obama. So I will ask again. Would you have same response if a kid knocked an Obama hat or BLM hat off another kid?

That 51% you mention was not from 100% of the voting public so that's kind of an anomalous statistic.

There you go again. Majority of Americans? You are now throwing out dumb comments.
