Tulsa has a very tough pitcher hopefully she’s used Game 1 vs Ark. The atmosphere and crowd will be the biggest and loudest we’ve ever had! This Coach is truly special and these Cowgirls are a blast to watch! Now we just need to take that step from competitors to battling for a title! Hopefully being at home we get it!! Go Cowgirls!!

Glad the ladies get to host regionals.....I thought they were rated too low

Good luck Cowgirls!!!
Agreed. We beat Texas 2 games to 1 in our series. There were some real head scratchers in the seeds. Florida get a 5 seed when they finished 6th in their league. EVERY team in the SEC made the tournament. Michigan winning the BIG 10 gets a 15 seed. We have a very winnable region. I look forward as we begin our quest to the CWS.

Lots of head scratchers. No way Texas should have been ahead of us, we beat them 3 out of 4 and they lost to Iowa State at the Big12 tourney but somehow they are 4 spots ahead of us.

From Eric Bailey...

The state of Oklahoma will be well-represented in this year’s NCAA Softball Championship.

Oklahoma (49-2) drew the 64-team bracket’s top overall seed and Oklahoma State (39-14) is the No. 13 seed. Both schools will host four-team regionals on their respective home fields this weekend.

Tulsa (35-18) will head to OSU as an at-large team. It will be the fourth straight season that the Golden Hurricane has played in an NCAA regional.

...

Oklahoma State will host a regional for the first time since 1998 and will open against BYU (29-24) at approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Tulsa will take on Arkansas at 5 p.m. Thursday. The Hurricane took a 2-1 decision in a contest between the schools in March. TU split a two-game series with OSU this season, winning 3-0 at home and losing 5-0 on the road.

The Hurricane has won nine of the past 11 games against Arkansas and has taken 12 of the last 14 contests against Oklahoma State.

In Stillwater, games will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a champion emerging on the final day. The winner will face the survivor of the Tallahassee Regional hosted by No. 4 Florida State.

The 16-team Super Regionals are decided by a best-of-three format. Eight winners will make up the Women’s College World Series field, with games being played May 30-June 5 in Oklahoma City.
Congrats and good luck in the postseason

2 things have to happen after we win this regional. They are going to have to open the checkbook for Kenny, then he is going to have to have them add seats to the stadium. I am surprised they gave us a regional due to the embarrassingly low number of seats in the place.

It will not matter if she is used or not. That is the major flaw in softball, the pitchers can pitch multiple games in a row. So a team with a dominating pitcher and not much else can still get them the wins they need. Unlike baseball.

What are the plans with the Allie P Stadium left field bleachers? I think it seats approx 1,000???

Instead of just trashing them, maybe just move them over to the softball field? Either put them down the third base line, or out against the left field fence (where fans have started to stand on backs of pickups).

Don't know what the cost of the move would cost, but at least the stands themselves are paid for already.

What's the plan for Allie P.? Is it still going to be a new parking garage?
