No, I've advocated if you want more from government, you gotta be willing to pay higher taxes or else shut your damned mouth and appreciate what you are getting from government from your taxes. Oklahoma City voters voting yes to keep the city sales tax up every few years to make city government yet bigger is a good example of how the game is played.
