This is great. Will certainly destroy all of the work he did to try to make OU attractive to the Big 10. Will force their fans to stop being on their stupid "academic superiority" high horse. Would be great to knock them down into the mud with Tech and lose their accreditation for a bit.
I always thought those full-page advertisements in the Oklahoman touting OUs academic performance was very odd and a big waste of money. If any University is really outstanding they don't need paid advertisements to prove it.

OU regents hear findings of Boren investigation

University of Oklahoma regents spent more than six hours on Tuesday hearing the findings of an investigation into former President David Boren.
Those findings were not released.
“We have said from the beginning when multiple individuals alleged inappropriate conduct that we wanted an independent investigation to provide us the facts,” OU Regents Chairman Leslie Rainbolt-Forbes said after the meeting.
“We are satisfied the investigation by Jones Day was thorough, fair, nonbiased and objective. This is a serious matter, and we will carefully consider what we learned today, and we will respond in a timely and prompt manner in accordance with the university’s existing policies and procedures.”
The OU Board of Regents hired Jones Day, a law firm, to investigate allegations against Boren of sexual misconduct.
Rainbolt-Forbes declined to answer questions after the meeting, say whether the investigation was over or describe what the board’s response might be.
OU President James Gallogly was also briefed on the findings during the special meeting.
While the board met, OU graduate Jess Eddy spoke to reporters.

Eddy, 29, has accused Boren of sexual battery. He alleges Boren made unwanted sexual advances toward him over a two-year period, the first time in 2010 in a hotel room in Houston. Eddy had been a teaching assistant for Boren at OU.
Boren, 77, the former Oklahoma governor and United States senator, denies the accusations.
Eddy handed out to the media Tuesday copies of a redacted document summarizing another person's recollection of his discussions at work at OU about Boren, an "inner circle" and inappropriate behavior.
The document is dated Nov. 8, 2018.

Jones Day began its investigation last November after the unidentified person reported Eddy's allegations to OU's Title IX office.
Eddy said he was concerned to learn that Clark Brewster, an attorney for Boren, was given this document without Eddy’s consent or notification.
“I have great concerns about the integrity of the Title IX office and the legal counsel,” Eddy said.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has launched its own investigation into the allegations against Boren and a former OU vice president, Tripp Hall.

Eddy said he has full confidence in the OSBI.
“I have no confidence in Jones Day or the university,” Eddy said.

This is BIG NEWS....it seems likely that President Gallogly has been forced to resign by friends of former President David Boren because he meddled into the internal "affairs" of too many at OU.

Thinking this may be the case. One news outlet saying some big donors were upset with Gallogly and the BOR and their investigation into Boren. They don't want it to see the light of day. This also coincides with Boren asking to meet with the BOR last week and them saying no.

As Oklahoma taxpayers we are all BIG Donors. We deserve to learn how David Boren has spent our money. There are many individuals and special interest groups inside and outside who do not want the truth to be known.

The boosters should have absolutely no say in what is done and not done in this case. The Board of Regents is required to give more than a cursory report, why aren't the news channels filing FOIAs? I forgot, most of them are goon graduates.

Channel 9 pretty much said this last night. That the rumor is that Gallogly wanted the Boren report aired out and there are many people trying to stop that. Thus the parting of ways.
