STILLWATER — Oklahoma State will have a new placekicker for the first time in three years, with redshirt sophomore Alex Hale winning the job.
Hale replaces three-year starter Matt Ammendola, who finished his career in the top five in school history in points scored, field goals made and field goal percentage.
Hale grew up playing soccer in Australia and didn’t become a placekicker until moving to California after one year of college.
“He seems to have a real good demeanor, carries himself really well at this point,” OSU coach Mike Gundy said.
