Oklahoma State senior A.J. Green was selected to the media’s preseason All-Big 12 team. His cornerback co-worker Rodarius Williams is regarded as similarly talented.
And both are entering their third season as starters, a rarity for a cornerback duo in college football.
Yet Green believes the trio of safeties covering the field between he and Williams have the most to show this season.
Four players — with junior Malcolm Rodriguez being joined by three true sophomores in Jarrick Bernard, Kolby Harvell-Peel and Tanner McCalister — were first-year starters in the secondary last season.
“You’ve only seen one year of the safeties,” Green said.
