Similar to immigration, adoption needs reforming. Very cost prohibitive and so much red tape that could be streamlined.

Not if you work through the State. DHS will literally pay you to adopt. You even get to try the kid out before deciding, this is known as Foster Care. Many Foster to Adopt, and it is incredibly needed.

I've known people who foster and it comes with it's own set of red tape and regulations.

It is my opinion that we have done a piss poor job of caring about children on either side of the womb. No coincidend

Well they don't send a stork, but there are thousands of those kids that need a home and a family to care for them.

Never wanted to register Republican and even less so as I got older, since Republicans became more obsessed than ever with abortion, homosexuality, porn, gambling, drug prohibition and incarceration boom. At least in recent years Oklahoma Republicans have finally been loosening up on some of the stupid laws and prohibitions imposed by Democrats years ago.

You mean since Republicans became so obsessed with the rights of the unborn and Democrats became more obsessed killing the unborn?

You're WRONG on that. Democrats are not obsessed with killing the unborn. I repeat, Democrats are not obsessed with killing the unborn. You might as well be making yourself look like a fool by insisting that people in Ireland are now obsessed with killing the unborn after voting to repeal the ban on abortion last year. So please, get a LIFE.

It's no more preposterous than any of your assertions.

Good lord, it's been an issue that BOTH parties have fought over for decades. And you're telling someone else to get a life?

"The bill is also part of a broader trend of left-wing states codifying a “right” to abortion in anticipation of a future Supreme Court ruling that could reverse Roe, restoring states’ ability to ban abortion themselves and automatically banning it in the handful of states with pre-Roe bans still on the books.
“To see New York pass a bill so that right is protected, is just a dream come true,” said Sarah Ragle Weddington, an attorney who represented Norma “Jane Roe” McCorvey in the original case. The Times-Union does not mention that Weddington’s former client became pro-life in 1995 and dedicated the rest of her life to opposing Roe.
New York’s Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has vowed to promote abortion as part of “the most progressive agenda this state have ever seen,” is expected to sign the bill."

Absolutely! People who want abortion banned--GET A LIFE!. It is a matter of undeniable FACT that Oklahoma SB13 would ban all abortion as well as contraceptives. People who support passage of that bill might as will be PRO abortion. As a result, thousands of pregnant Oklahoma women would leave the state to get abortions. Some with serious conditions would die. Oklahoma would become an exporter state of abortions. Now who wants that unless, one is morally insane? Don't tell me that Roe v Wade would negate SB13. Tell that to the supporters.

Townie....I don't believe that you are the kind of man who could kill a little baby...who just moments before was
seen sucking his/her thumb on ultrasound. Who moved its little arms and kick his legs. Then you can see its little heart beating just before birth. No you and most people could not stand to do the killing.

Seriously, docjoctoo, if you care dearly about innocent little babies being slaughtered in the womb, then I hope you wouldn't be wrong and foolish enough to support SB13. Or seriously, do you want Oklahoma to become an exporter state for abortion?? If so, may God help you.

I'm certainly not pro abortion. This is because I believe in trying to nip the problem of abortion before it's even in the bud. The government should teach responsible sexual behavior in high school, including the various forms of birth control and help poor women with birth control. Teaching abstinence only in schools is far from enough, because hardly anyone remains that way.
