From Mark Cooper...

After allowing 99 points in Venice in the first game of its European trip, Oklahoma State's basketball team essentially cut that in half in a 61-49 win over the Netherlands' national team reserves on Thursday in Rome.

The Cowboys led wire to wire in an exhibition at the Pala Fonte Arena.

OSU assisted on 15-of-24 baskets and shot 41 percent. Every player who appeared for OSU scored.

Coach Mike Boynton altered the starting lineup for this one, going with a small-ball approach. He started four guards -- Mike Cunningham, Michael Weathers, Thomas Dziagwa and Lindy Waters -- along with Cameron McGriff.
