Learn from your mistakes, don’t start 0-8 in conference, remember this demoralizing loss, and more importantly, GO POKES. That’s all you can say to the young guys after this loss.

Think they were down at least one of their stars when they played in Stilly. Hope springs eternal.
Compliment Cam on his monster last game, just hope he will still go inside and not become that 3 point shooter he can sometimes become. Worries me now that he had that high % 3 pt vs ou.

Do we still have a chance at the tourney? Here is where we currently stand based on net rankings and Joe Lunardi's Bracketology:

Conference Ranking:
1 KU
2 BU
15 WVU

75 UT

If Big 12 gets 5 teams in, we are competing against OU and UT.

Last 4 In:
47 USC
48 Providence
53 NC St.
55 OU
Avg. rank = 51

1st 4 Out:
31 Stanford
49 Richmond
57 Miss. St.
76 UCLA
Avg. Rank = 53

Next 4 Out:
40 Alabama
59 Georgetown
61 Memphis
63 S. Carolina
Avg. Rank = 56

I'm giving everything I've got tonight. Bringing my A game. Going to cheer the Pokes on hard! May require throwing of beer cans. (not at the tv anymore, and definitely no bottled beverages allowed in the house tonight. learned that lesson the first time)

Go Pokes!

I'm thinking we would need to win at least 2, probably 3 more regular season games AND finish at least 3rd in the Big 12 tourney to make the dance.

Wouldn't that do it? Of course that's a very tall order.

Even if we win 3 of 4, we’d finish 7-11 in conference. Only once has a big12 team with a losing conf record made the dance. And they were 8-10. It’s not gonna happen unless we win out and win at least 2 in the tourney or we win the tourney.

I hope we play well and pulling an upset would be amazing. Its very unlikely, though. But I'm not going to get upset about the outcome tonight if it doesn't go well. This team has been playing much better lately--doesn't make up for starting 0-8; but in the here and now, I'm proud of what they have done.

I think we'd have to win out to make the Big Dance. Tall order. Just beating a bad Texas team at home would have made a world of difference. But oh well.

I agree with it all. We can make the NIT and that would be good for this team.
