Just spitballing here....

But when does the RNC admit to itself Trump has winning economic, domestic and foreign policies, but his paranoia, personality, behavior and unwillingness to listen to his advisors and experts is going to lead to defeat in November?

Why not quietly go to Cruz or Rubio or Cotton (or other) and explore jumping in (with Trump’s policies) at the right moment?

Trump won the rust belt working class who voted for Obama twice.

To those people, Cruz, Pence and Cotton are bible-beating rednecks who would outlaw dancing.

You’d be trying to win back the voters Trump has lost. The key to any GOP candidate is the affirmative adoption of Trump policies. Literally every GOP politician would support someone other than Trump if that someone could get the nomination. Right now, Trump has lost significant GOP support.

Again, at some point you have to admit pending defeat unless you change something.

Don't really care for Trump, but GOP support means little right now. In fact, I would venture a guess that polling means little right now. People are tired of Seattle and the lawlessness. People are getting fired and publicly humilated for voicing their opinions. Getting scorned for standing for the national anthem. People are just tired. If Trump doesn't win by a landslide, I'll be surprised.

I think Trump’s one chance is for people to see a whoooole lot of Joe Biden attempting to say words and make english sentences out of them.
The debates will be entertaining, and maybe a little frightening. Biden's VP pick will be a big deal. Let's face it, either one of them could croak during the next 4 years, and while I don't like Pence, I at least think he is competent, so I'd be fine with him taking over if it came to that.

Is it sad that I'm waiting on Biden to pick a VP running mate so I can evaluate that VP pick against Pence and then decide who to vote on and then hope somehow that person gets promoted to POTUS ?

I thought Romney ran a horrible campaign. He sat back and let his opponents define him because many of the polls said just not being Obama was enough. He was wrong.

Ironically just not being Trump is enough. Biden really does need to follow the Romney pattern. Biden can't win on Biden, he just has to stay out of sight as much as possible and not be Trump.

As other's have said that won't be enough. He will face Trump in debates and be made a fool. The silent majority has not and will not say anything in the cancel culture but let the votes be heard in November. Then queue the celebrities saying they're leaving etc and probably more riots of those not accepting election results from the socialist left. It will be another painful reminder that socialism still isn't acceptable in this great country.

Made a fool by Trump? Ha ha fucking ha. Trump has the IQ of a potato. He got his ass kicked in every single debate in 2016. Of course the Trump Tards loved it, but he made a fool of himself. Biden does indeed suck, but even with the brain worms he will kick Trump's ass.

Also, in case you haven't notice, it is the vocal minority that supports Trump. He has never gotten a majority of support from this country. That is why his approval numbers for his full term have been historically bad.

We'll see. It seems impossible to me that Trump wins, but if the search feature worked worth a crap on here, I bet you could find a very similar post from me 4 years ago.

Did he lose? Trump is still your president today. Sorry Hillary will NEVER be president. And its highly likely Biden won't get as close as she did either.

I didn't vote for Hilldawg, which was her problem. She was way too unlikable. Biden however, is likable. Just old as dirt. Then again, so is Trump, who is almost as unlikable as Hillary. That and his record are looking like a landslide for Biden.

You don't have to like it, but you should probably start preparing for President Biden. It is happening. Trump is already way too far back, and really didn't have much of a chance before the virus hit. He lost women in the suburbs along time ago. Now he bleeding support from all segments. He is really in a hole. With his favorability ratings, the undecideds won't break his way like they did last time. Unless another Comey type fiasco happens again.

Trump was already at a deficit in the popular vote to Hillary. If that popular vote deficit swells by 8-10% this year it is very likely he will lose as it will start to move Electoral Collage votes. He has been fighting against the popular vote since day 1 and I'm not sure he has been going the right direction in that

What other options are there? That's the rub. Do you waste your vote? Not vote? Biden? Hillary, if she's Biden's VP? This is what 2 party politics has done.
