As I said...successful impeachment, meaning winning in the Senate. Turley thought the case against Clinton was too weak as well but he agreed that Pres could be impeached for lying under oath.
And that is why Trump will never testify under oath. Yes he gave written answers to Meuller but they have proven gray at best w the get out of jail card his lawyers wisely insisted upon. The old “I don’t recall” or its useful cousin “to the best of my recollection.”

He is at his core a weak and cowardly man. He uses perceived strength as a way to manipulate and con. It might not be Ukraine but history will show the Trump presidency to be just like his marriages, his failed casinos, Trump Steaks, Trump University, Trump Doral or even Trump Foundation. It’s who he is. It’s who he has always been.

Conmen don’t rehabilitate.

90% of this board, yet hardly anyone is aware of their own biases.
I fully admit & own my biases. I want the guy out of office. I would prefer resignation over impeachment & removal. I would prefer losing an election over impeachment & removal. I would prefer the Ds to wait until they had his financials/taxes.

But he had to go and commit bribery in an extortion attempt to get a foreign government to interfere in a US election.

Very bad indeed. He hurt the feelings of beta males and other kooks by fairly winning an election. So let’s all pretend that he colluded with Russia and extorted Ukraine even if it’s 100% apparent he did neither, and hope he gets impeached.

Remember when GOP used to pretend to care about the deficit?
Remember when the GOP got mad at Obama for bailing out the Auto industry then happily watched Trump bail out farmers with no payback?
Remember when Trump paid $160K to a porn star and his attorney got arrested?
Remember when GOP had a big birther movement against Obama?
Remember when the Senate confirmed Russian interference?
Remember when Trump's campaign chairman got convicted?
Remember when Trump's lawyer got convicted?
Remember when Trump's charity was shut down and forced to repay $2,000,000?

Wow. Fox News' Bret Baier says that Trump's tweets attacking Yovanovitch could be construed as witness intimidation and hence "adding essentially an article of impeachment in real time as this hearing is going on." https://t.co/7IiDQ1xriP
Kind of an extension of what I mentioned the other day about not believing the Dems actually want to impeach, but I wonder if there's Reps starting to want it so they DO have Pence running in 2020 to beat the Dems??...

If anyone is thinking Trump is Innocent OR Guilty at this point based on the first day of public hearings then you are more biased than you will care to admit
In this country people are innocent until proven guilty. So far no guilt had been even remotely proven.

I guess the boy who cried wolf effect is a kind of bias but you can't really blame the "townsfolk" for no longer believing it.
