Hunter Biden seems to a be troubled son of Joe Biden. He was allowed to become a naval officer as a special appointee despite being over the age limit, and a know past user of illicit drugs. Then shortly after his naval officer appointment he was dismissed for use of drugs. Later he gets a big job as an oil man with a company seeking business with Ukraine and travels with his dad on Air Force Two and talks with Ukraine government officials. Does this seem a little strange to any of you? Perhaps someone ought to look into this.
It does give the appearance of shady ness, however, the Ukraine government investigated and found nothing inappropriate. The Republicans had two unrestricted years to investigate this if they had wanted to, and did diddly squat. A cry baby whine about it now, is just a diversionary tactic by enablers wanting to take attention away from the criminal commander and thief that they and many of you enthusiastically and blindly follow.

That’s what I figured you were using but wasn’t sure.

So are you suggesting that when interest rates were 0 or near 0 we weren’t paying interest?
We were still paying interest on Treasury securities which had yet to mature. The problems start to pop up as those bonds and notes reach maturity. The Treasury can only sell 30 year bonds with a 0.25 interest rate coupon if they sell them at a deep discount. When interest rates go up, bond prices go down, and investors don’t want to get caught holding long term securities. As a result, as bonds matured, the Treasury had to adjust and sell more short term securities, which investors were purchasing with say a 0.25 interest rate. Holding one of these for 90 days or a year doesn’t have the same price change risk as buying a 30 year bond. Initially, as bonds matured and the length to maturity structure of the outstanding debt shortened, that portion of the debt was being financed for less $$ than had been the case. Suddenly though, the Fed starts increasing interest rates which means we have to pay more $$ to finance the debt. My intention was to point out that a 2.5 percentage point rate hike across the board would, ceteris paribus, eventually by itself cause a $500 billion annual increase in the deficit.

IMO your unlikely hero dog in the fight is rabid. All the other dogs are no longer in the fight or have already been investigated and found innocent. Past tense, old news, history, nothing left to see here. Bow wow! Woof woof! You’re barking up the wrong tree while lifting your leg and peeing on the Constitution.

Good lord, he said he added a mention of rooting out corruption that wasn't there. So while making Vindman look bad this makes Trump look bad too. Admitting Trump didn't mention corruption. And at the same time you're all busy claiming Vindman is just out to get Trump... this video just shows his addition would make Trump look better. Do you guys have any logic or reasoning skills left??? Do you think critically about anything at all other than Trump good everyone else bad??? I'm just continually baffled by how unaware the Trump supporters are to the infinite loopholes in their own reasoning.
To everything - spin, spin, spin
There is a deflection - spin, spin, spin
And a time to every prevarication under heaven

Many of our choices that would have been better were taken away from us by the time we got to vote that's how. A lot of it was due to open primary systems where you had people who could easily change their affiliation with ease crossover and cause problems in the primaries for the Republicans and then sit there and change their affiliation back after the primaries.

I pulled the data once upon a time, don't still have it, but if only closed primaries had counted Cruz would have won the nomination. Trump was the candidate because of open primaries. Of course, there's no way to know exactly who voted in the open primaries, but it's absolutely certain that non-Republicans voted for Trump in the primaries, and probably because they thought he would be easy to beat.

All Republicans were briefed by OUR intelligence agencies that Ukraine DID NOT meddle in our elections. All 17 intelligence agencies informed them that RUSSIA was who was pushing this agenda! Why are Republicans pushing the RUSSIAN agenda? When NUNES was chair of the House intelligence committee why was he flying around the world (on our dime)to meet with indicted individuals in an effort to dig up dirt on the Bidens? Fall in line Republicans, Trump and toadies will do anything legal or otherwise to come up with a new catchy re-elections slogan and win. Not only will you all not shout “Lock them Up” you call the investigation a “Witch Hunt”and other lying hypocritical troupes. I do not understand how so many, mainly decent people can so blindly follow and support this Trump conspiracy theory doody. They no longer comprehend what duty, honor, oaths, the rule of law, truth, love of country, and RIGHT even mean. Have you no shame?

Is the bet then that as the economy heats up higher gdp results in higher tax revenues even with a tax cut there by offsetting the increased spending on debt because of higher interest rates? I didn’t pull the charts but my recollection of interest rates from a debt buyer perspective is that this time as interest rates rose long term bonds didn’t behave as they historically have w rising interest.

Rudy tweets today that his “insurance policy” if he’s thrown under the bus is to release more files locked in his safe that further incriminate Biden. Ummmm.... that’s not how mob style insurance policies work.

Look at the geniuses he had running his “alternative” Ukraine policy.

He should be forced to resign because of the sheer dumbassery of this group.

But after last week’s hearings it tells you more. The US has bright, competent, nonpartisan patriots serving us in very difficult & hostile places. The fact that Trump & his buddies didn’t really refute what they said and instead relied on attacks, diversions & process complaints is all any reasonable person should need to see.

Sadly reason, common sense, and decency seem to be in short supply these days.
