Behind the majority of other schools begining training. I don't know what is so hard to comprehend. Maybe it will have no bearing on any games this year, but any way you want to cut it, THEY ARE BEHIND BECAUSE THEY STARTED A MONTH BEHIND MOST OTHERS. It is really not that complicated for most people.

Taking bedlam out of the equation. Having a half month extra time to sort out how COVID 19 is going to effect the team I would think would make a huge difference for any team. It’s only logical. To me it would seem that it should put Those who don’t take advantage of an extra half month a little behind.

On the flip side of that, an extra 2 weeks of letting any virus cases run their course has its own benefits. And it's not like players aren't already back in town now, or havent been working out all summer already. At the end of the day, it will have no bearing on the season. OU could start up in august and still own the conference.

OU will be behind on handling covid and they will be behind in conditioning and reps.
It’s not hard to understand.

They’re right where they want to be. And they still win the conference. Again. It’s not hard to understand. You’re trying too hard.

Uh, that was a comment he made about June 1, not July 1.

For what it is worth, many players are already in Norman working out, and those that arent, are working out in their home towns. They arent just sitting on the couch watching pornbook. And a July 1 start date probably means they start a quarantine in june so it wont be long til everyone is in town. At least OU was able to make the choice they wanted to make on their own timeline.

I think the big factor will be for teams with new coaches and schemes, they lost a lot of prep and a handful of practices of on field installment new schemes. Lack of player evaluation for the new guys and progress of the current ones. Missing spring really affects freshmen who hoped to start early.
So Coach Log is lying to the media if his players are already in Norman doing conditioning workouts?

Can it be the Pokes actually win this Covid19 bedlam thing. Our timeline was perfect, our protocol is much smarter than theirs, we have fewer positive cases than we thought, we have an incredible head start in training and now they are lying to the media. I hear the trophy is sweet. Just hope there's room next to all those Big 12 football trophies. Lets keep shooting for the stars Poke fans.

Lying about what, exactly?

They can start behind and still win, but they will be a month behind.
Behind what? The timing of what other teams do things has no bearing on what OU does. Besides, that doesnt even mean they'll get less practice or conditioning or evaluation time. Just means they're starting when they wanted to start. This is rather trite of you.

Of course, that will cost them the national championship. As always, there is something that keeps them from getting there.
It's usually at the point they run into a more talented team from a better conference who has consistently out-recruited them. Nobody in the big 12 has the juice to challenge them though and be the reason they dont make it.

Conditioning and practice reps on campus, toke.

Nah. Mostly it is the biased press that builds up a so-so team.
So you think less of a big 12 than I do. Impressive

Again, in case you were not aware, they identified July 1 as the latest date they could start and have enough time to get in all the summer workouts they need. So, who cares when they start, when they get what you need out of it.

You’re gonna look back on this and wonder why it was even a thing worth whining about.

No, but ESecPN thinks the Bid 12 is a lesser conference. The SEC can beat each other up and those are good losses. The Big 12 can do the same and our teams just aren't any good.
It’s not that they aren’t any good, they just simply aren’t as good. The big 12 doesn’t recruit well enough to be able to compete with them consistently. Until the heavy heaters in the conference show they can play high-level defense it will probably stay that way on that side of the ball at least
