He seems to be a good addition. Meets a real need. Hope he has the kind of success achieved by our two most recent grad-transfer guards, Jeff Newberry (10.8 ppg) and Kendall Smith (13.1).

Newberry was a juco guy, not a grad transfer. Regardless though i agree with your hope about his success

My favorite is Anthony Hickey from 2014-2015. Even though he did come from a power conference having some great exposure, he had the most impact of any transfer in recent time for us.

Steph Curry has a bunch of big time players around him. Plus he is 6'3. Hickey is 5'11.

Super excited wrote in the other thread. He shot 51 percent from 3 after Christmas last year, 69-135. Had 7 threes in a game with 6 and two more with 5. I think him and Weathers together could be deadly. Add Lindy at the 3, plus Mcgriff at the 4. Then cross our fingers for Walker and we got a team!

Who are the backup options if Wyatt Walker chooses NC State?

I think if they get some bigs backing down in the paint regularly that will provide some space for easier three point looks. Last year we seemed to take too many contested threes.
